Recently, I was sent to St. John’s Newfoundland (Canada) for work…4 days after I arrived, I made an amazing discovery about this place.
Have to love my geography!
My friend, M. wanted to make it to a charity run and so she decided to bike there.
The place for the run starts at 50th Avenue South West
She somehow ended up at 50th Avenue South East…
Which, if you can do the math, is 100 blocks away from where she was supposed to be…
P.S. She actually ended up biking to the right place finally, in time for the BBQ that occurred after the run.
So we were looking forward to seeing the waterfalls as it’s supposed to be fantastic according to online reviews. The waterfalls were located at Julia Pfeiffer National Park.
As we were driving, we came upon Pfeiffer National Park and believed that since the last name’s the same, we should be in the same park.
So we took a 60 minute hike that was of medium difficulty and ended up with a very small and unimpressive waterfall…
We were super upset with the hundreds of online reviews telling us it was great when it wasn’t.
Then we drove for 10 more minutes and found “Julia Pfeiffer National Park”…grrr…
The hike to see the waterfall was also shorter and easier – only 20 minutes, and the waterfalls were breathtaking…
So I guess for National Parks, don’t ever assume the same last name = the same park.
So we’re in the midst of moving and my sister is in another country in the meantime, so we have to move her stuff, we were talking about moving her bed prior to the snapshot below and there’s an old bed that my dad used to sleep on so that you’ll know for the discussion:
I was moving some stuff to our new house and got hungry – and since mom cleaned out the fridge as we moved to the new house, so the only food I could find were some croutons that my sister had bought…
After I happily ate a decent amount of it, I looked at the expiry date and realized it was 1.5 months ago
Attention to details = none
P.S. Thank god I was fine afterwards.
This was hilarious and you have to watch it – go asian!
My sister was craving pasta around midnight…and the only thing that was still open was 7-Eleven.
So we went and bought some frozen pasta.
Now while she was holding the frozen box, she accidentally dropped in on the table, which made a loud clanging noise.
“That can’t be right, is it actually that hard that it’ll make such a big noise?”
Then, she proceeded to tap the frozen box against her head…
which was followed by: “OWWWWWWW….THAT HURTS!”
Yes dear sister, if it makes a loud noise against our wooden table, it’ll also be painful against your head…
P.S. She used the frozen pasta to immediately hurt her head, oh how the frozen box can be used for both good and bad!
